Let the use guide the format
Measure the space the flyer needs to fit and provide the final width and height. Leave enough room for a readable headline, essential information and contact details.
Confirm before designing
Discuss non-standard dimensions, paper and finishing before building the final artwork. If you need a folded piece, include the open size, folded size and panel order in the brief.

Choose the space your message needs
These standard dimensions help you plan a layout. Confirm the final size and available paper with our team before preparing print-ready artwork.
A4 · 210 × 297 mm
More room to explain
Consider a larger sheet when your message needs more detail, such as a service overview. Keep the layout readable rather than adding unnecessary text.
DL · 99 × 210 mm
A slim format
A narrow layout for a focused message, an insert or a compact display. Check the dimensions if it needs to fit an existing holder or envelope.
One side or two?
Single sided
Keep one short message on one face. Useful when the flyer will be seen from the front, such as on a noticeboard.
Double sided
Put the headline and main offer on the front; use the reverse for detail, terms or a service list. Keep the contact route easy to find.
Need several panels? A folded leaflet or brochure needs a different layout. Include the open size, folded size and panel order in your brief.
A small checklist. A clearer print.
Use this before you send your file or ask for design help.
Set the final size
Build your file to the agreed trim dimensions. Ask the team for the required bleed and safe area before exporting.
Keep details sharp
Use original logos and high-resolution images. Check that small text remains readable at the actual printed size.
Check every destination
Proofread numbers, dates and offer terms. Scan the QR code from a sample at final size and check it opens the intended page.
Send a complete file
A print-ready PDF is a useful starting point. Confirm colour settings and fonts with the team; label front and back clearly.
Paper and finish change how a flyer feels and how colours appear. Compare available samples when appearance is important; confirm the chosen stock and finish in your quote.
Questions about custom-format flyer printing
How do I specify a flyer for an envelope or display?
Measure the usable space and provide the finished width and height in millimetres. Mention whether the piece must slide into an envelope, sit in a holder or fit inside packaging. Ask the team to confirm the format before preparing final artwork.
Do I send the trimmed size or the artwork size?
Provide the intended finished size first and ask for the required bleed and safe area. Bleed extends the artwork beyond the cut edge; it is not part of the finished dimensions. For a folded piece, provide both open and folded sizes.
